REPLACE 2 represents a radical change to the way Female genital mutilation (FGM) is tackled in the EU, by developing a new approach that integrates individual behaviour change within a community-based approach (REPLACE 1, 2011). REPLACE 2 sees the return of the original REPLACE partners: Coventry University, FORWARD UK and FSAN (the Netherlands) and welcomes four new partners: CESIE (Italy), APF (Portugal), Gabinet (Spain) and International Centre for Reproductive Health, Ghent University (Belgium). REPLACE 2, funded by Daphne III European Commission, will run for two years until 2015.

GREVIO is the independent expert body responsible for monitoring the implementation of the Council of Europe Convention on Preventing and Combating Violence against Women and Domestic Violence (Istanbul Convention) by the Parties.

FORWARD (Foundation for Women’s Health Research and Development) is committed to gender equality and safeguarding the rights of African girls and women.

Dans un contexte d’augmentation croissante des questions relatives aux mutilations génitales féminines et «autres pratiques traditionnelles néfastes » qui y sont liées (mariages forcés, mariages précoces, violences liées à l’honneur, …), l’asbl INTACT, fondée en 2009 par Céline Verbrouck, avocate au Barreau de Bruxelles, vise à devenir un « lieu de référence » sur les questions juridiques liées à ces problématiques et entend travailler en étroite collaboration avec un réseau d’associations et d’institutions nationales et internationales actives dans le secteur.

The European Institute for Gender Equality (EIGE) is an autonomous body of the European Union, established to contribute to and strengthen the promotion of gender equality, including gender mainstreaming in all EU policies and the resulting national policies, and the fight against discrimination based on sex, as well as to raise EU citizens’ awareness of gender equality.

L’objectif du GAMS Belgique est de contribuer à l’abandon des mutilations sexuelles féminines en Belgique et dans le reste du monde.

Each of these partners will contribute to the implementation of CHANGE Plus: TERRE DES FEMMES is coordinating the project and will also train CHANGE Agents. AIDOS, APF and Equipop will train CHANGE Agents as well. Stiftung Hilfe mit Plan and FSAN, both of whom were already part of the previous CHANGE project, will train both CHANGE Agents and CHANGE Champions.
