The Cutting Tradition is a 47-minute film, narrated by Meryl Streep, commissioned by FIGO – the International Federation of Obstetricians & Gynecologists. Filmed in Ethiopia, Egypt, Djibouti, Burkina Faso and the UK, it looks at the reasons for female genital mutilation in Africa today.
